Adolph Mongo, host of the weekly podcast, “Detroit in Black and White,” said on the show Saturday that he won’t let 910 AM owner Kevin Adell silence him.

Mongo’s response came after Adell’s attorney William McHenry sent a letter dated Aug. 24 threatening to sue if he doesn’t watch what he says about Adell. Mongo publicly called Adell a racist in a story about the station. Mongo noted that the letter spelled his first name incorrectly.

“Please be on notice that he will take appropriate legal action to defend himself and his business interest from any statements that are false, defamatory, or intended to portray him or his radio station in a false light. Please act accordingly to avoid potential liability,” the letter said.

Mongo vowed not to shut up, and went on to describe Adell in unflattering terms.
