Hosts Adolph Mongo, Vanessa Moss and Allan Lengel talk about pressing issues of the week including whether Mayor Mary Sheffield should take any responsibility while sitting on boards.

The Detroit News reported this week as council member president, Sheffield sat on the People Mover board but never attended a meeting from 2023 to 2025 while an official for the agency was involved in a $300,000 kickback scheme. Sheffield also sat on the board of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy when CFO William A. Smith was busted for stealing more than $40 million.

They also talk about President Trump’s name being removed from the Kennedy Center, media coverage of the city and the delay in the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
